Dr. Lee Panko
Dr. Lee Panko is the owner and senior veterinarian at Brenham Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Panko grew up in a large family on a farm in rural Nebraska. He received his B.S. in Animal Science from the University of Nebraska, and later attended Kansas State University for veterinary school. Dr. Panko received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2005 and began caring for all kinds of animals right away.
He truly loves the life of a mixed-animal practitioner, spending his days treating dogs, cats, cattle, and everything in between. His family is made up of his wife Michelle, kids Nicholas, Marissa, and Luke, two rescue dogs Lucky and Ranger, and cats Rex and Frankie. Dr. Panko is a member of the Washington County Rotary Club and attends St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Dr. Kristine Rockey-Millikin
Dr. Kristine Rockey-Millikin graduated from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010, following her undergraduate degree in Wildlife Management from Stephen F. Austin State University. Throughout her career she has been fortunate to travel extensively and work with everything from poison dart frogs to Elephants; but enjoys companion animal surgery, internal medicine, and pet pocket animal care the most.
While Dr. Rockey is originally from the Houston area; she, her husband Jeff, and daughter Gracyn have called Brenham home for many years. They reside on their small family farm on the outskirts of Brenham with their menagerie consisting of a herd of Dexter cattle, 2 donkeys, 3 mini horses, 2 quarter horses, 11 chickens, 8 dogs, and 2 cats. When not working, she enjoys traveling with her family, herding with their Corgis, and riding.
Dr. Morgan Hecht
Dr. Morgan Hecht is an associate veterinarian at Brenham Veterinary Hospital. She graduated from Texas A&M University in 2019 with a Bachelors in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Spanish. Dr. Hecht continued her education at Texas A&M University and graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2023, with an emphasis on mixed animal medicine. Dr. Hecht loves taking care of all types of animals, but has a particular passion for equine and companion animal medicine.
Dr. Hecht and her fiancé, Aaron, share two cats and two very energetic dogs. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with friends and family, reading, and sightseeing.
Dr. Cary Hills
Dr. Hills has over 25 years of veterinary experience, having worked in a wide variety of disciplines and environments throughout his career. He received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University in 1995. He previously owned a five-doctor, predominately equine practice for 15 years, and understands the importance of client service and professional integrity. Dr. Hills has a passion for horses and considers it a privilege to have their care entrusted to him. His particular areas of interest are preventative medicine, performance and lameness work-ups, diagnostic imaging, surgery and ophthalmology.
Dr. Hills is so pleased to join the BVH team to help current patients and serve more equine clients. His family includes his wife Jennifer, and daughters Clara and Esther. They are looking forward to exploring all that Texas has to offer and making Brenham their home.
