Meet the Team

Whitney

Whitney joined the BVH team in May of 2000 while still in high school. She is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Animal Science and became Practice Manager in 2007. Whitney grew up on a 750-acre ranch in Washington County where her family raised paint horses and commercial cattle. She showed paint horses competitively through the paint horse circuit, as well as 4-H. Her family includes her husband Zach, daughter Sydney, a paint horse named Lacy, and rescue dachshund named Dash, and two kitties Cannon and Bennett. Whitney is a member of the Blinn College Veterinary Technician Program Advisory Committee. She is also a member of the Veterinary Hospital Manager Association and the local Houston VHMA chapter.

Amy

Derrick

Derrick joined Brenham Veterinary Hospital in 2023 caring for patients as a Veterinary Technician. He came into the veterinary medicine 13 years ago after leaving the IT field. Derrick would describe himself simply as: Husband. Father. Nerd. And being the “Fun Uncle” for our treasured animal patients.

Abigail

Abigail joined BVH in 2024 as a mixed animal veterinary technician. She is super passionate about animals, medicine, and learning. She has been in the veterinary field since 2022 and is in currently in college pursuing her undergraduate degree in Animal Science. In her spare time she enjoys riding horses, trail riding, fishing, dancing, and spending time with her friends and family.

Stephanie

Darrell

Darrell joined Brenham Veterinary Hospital in 2004 as a large animal technician. He lives in Burton with his daughter, Katie, where he raises show pigs and commercial cattle. Darrell is very active in his community, serving as President of the Burton Park Project and attending St. Johns UCC of Burton.

Mackensi

Mackensi joined Brenham Veterinary Hospital in 2023 as a small animal technician. She graduated from Sam Houston State University with a degree in Animal Science. Mackensi’s family includes her husband Caleb, and their three dogs Daisy, Koda, and Ivory. In her spare time, she enjoys watching movies, trying new foods, and being outdoors.   

Brooke

Brooke joined BVH in 2021 as a small animal veterinary technician. She is very passionate about animals and loves to learn. In her spare time, she likes to do anything outdoors, hanging out with friends, and hunting. She lives with her two dogs, Lola and Sage.

Lexaley

Kaelyn

Kaelyn joined the BVH team in July of 2024 as a Veterinary Technician. She started in the veterinary medicine field in 2019, and became a veterinary technician in 2022. Kaelyn enjoys spending her free time reading, fishing, doing almost anything outdoors, and spending time with her 3 kids. She has a passion for animals that she loves sharing with clients.

Maddie

Maddie joined Brenham Veterinary Hospital in 2023 as a Veterinary Assistant and will soon be going to school for a veterinary technician degree. She was raised around NFR champion horses and herds of cattle, instilling Maddie’s abundance of love for any kind of animal.  In her free time, Maddie likes spending her time with friends, family and her boyfriend, reading, sitting out on the lake and working.

Alyce

Alyce joined Brenham Veterinary Hospital in May of 2024. She is currently attending Brenham High School. In 2024, she earned her Veterinary Medical Applications Certification, which is terminology, anatomy, physiology, and veterinary medical practices. In her spare time, she loves being outside and hanging out with friends. Alyce has one dog named Diesel and a rabbit named Tinman.

Jess

Jess is originally from Maryland, but now lives in Brenham with her husband Nick, their 4 dogs, 1 cat, and 1 pig. She has always had a variety of pets growing up, and has been working in animal care for 4 years. She enjoys spending her time with her husband Nick, hiking, riding her horse, and exploring historic areas.

Kerry

Kerry joined the BVH team in 2005 as a client care specialist. Her family includes her daughter and son in law, Whitney and Zach, her son Wade, her granddaughter Sydney Claire, and a rescue dog named Otter. Kerry enjoys spending her time with family, cooking and shopping. She is a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church and raises commercial cattle with her children.

Misty

Misty joined Brenham Veterinary Hospital in 2017 and is a Certified Client Care Specialist. She lives on her parent’s farm in Washington with her three dogs, two cats, two birds, chickens, pet turkeys, horses, and cows. Misty has a passion for animals and has enjoyed helping foal out miniature mares for over 20 years. In her spare time, Misty enjoys camping, river trips, and Texas country music concerts. She also has a booth in an antique mall.

Diana

Diana joined Brenham Veterinary Hospital in 2021 and is a Certified Client Care Specialist. She graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2020. She grew up in Somerville where she still lives with her husband Ruben and their son, Miles. They have three dogs and four cats. In her free time, Diana loves spending time with her family, reading, baking, traveling, exploring local places and areas, and going to concerts. She is fluent in Spanish and happy to help anyone at any time.

Raven

Raven joined the BVH team in April of 2023.  She grew up in Houston and has relocated to Brenham to be closer to family. Raven enjoys reading a book outside, fishing, and quality time with her chicken Mabel. She has been in the veterinary field for 8 years and thoroughly enjoys getting to meet all the fur babies that come to our hospital.
